Kiš's masterpiece, "A Tomb for Boris Davidovich," is a lyrical and philosophical novel that follows the interconnected lives of seven men during the rise and fall of Hungarian Communism.
He was also a recipient of numerous literary awards, including the NIN Literary Award and the International Booker Prize.
