Xavi Returns to Barcelona as Manager
FC Barcelona have re-hired Xavi Hernández as head coach
The former midfielder, who is one of the club's most decorated players, has signed a three-year deal
FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Xavi Hernández for him to become first team coach for the rest of the current season and two more seasons.
Xavi, who is one of the most decorated players in the club's history, will return to the Camp Nou after a two-year spell as coach of Qatari club Al Sadd.
He replaces Ronald Koeman, who was sacked last month following a run of poor results.
Xavi made over 700 appearances for Barcelona during his playing career, winning 25 major trophies, including eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
He is highly regarded for his attacking style of play and is expected to bring a more positive approach to a Barcelona side that has struggled for form in recent months.
Xavi will be officially presented as Barcelona's new coach on Monday, November 8.
